The Importance of “All In”

My good friend and host of the Squard Circle Journal podcast Ringside Ramblings thoughts on the state of indy wrestling and what that means for WWE.

On September 1st, the wrestling world will get to experience the largest independent wrestling show in history. “All In” is scheduled to take place from the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago and is expected to have a crowd of at least ten thousand enthusiastic wrestling fans from all over the world. However, the event has not settled well with everyone. There seems to be a minority of fans who have criticized the event and its success before the event has event occurred. Some fans have proclaimed that All In (and its featured stars) is simply an overhyped production.

Whether the show or the wrestlers involved are “overhyped” is not relevant to the case I’ll be making. The already successful All In marks an important time in history for wrestling fans for a number of reasons. It has nothing to do with whether we think Cody Rhodes is a good wrestler…
